What is a Psychological Immigration Evaluation?

Immigration psychological assessment or evaluation, is a process where a qualified mental health professional assesses an individual’s psychological well-being and provides an objective evaluation of their mental health status. These evaluations are typically conducted to assist immigration authorities in making informed decisions about an individual’s eligibility for immigration benefits, such as asylum, refugee status, or waivers.

What’s included in an evaluation?

  • Two clinical interviews, 1 – 1.5 hours each. Interviews are offered virtually or in person in Pasadena.
  • A written assessment. An in-depth report, typically between 10-15 pages depending on the individual case.

*If there is a need for an expedited evaluation, an additional fee will apply.

How much does an evaluation cost?

The fee for the evaluation includes the written report, as well as the time spent with you in interviewing sessions.

  • $1,200 fee
