Rosa Casquino, LCSW

Hello! My name is Rosa Casquino and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW 79387). I am an formally undocumented immigrant from Peru, and have a deep understanding of the immigrant experience.

I began my career as a therapist in 2014, working primarily with survivors of domestic violence, childhood sexual abuse, and immigrant women.

I have my own lived experienced as a survivor of family violence and sexual trauma. It is these lived experiences that give me deep understanding of my clients' experiences, and the wherewithal needed to guide people through their healing journey.

I believe that healing requires a foundation of safety, trust and love. I bring these elements into my sessions. I also believe in the power of spirituality. Healing elements come in many forms including theoretical frameworks, spiritual beliefs and holistic approaches.

Education & Experience

Rosa Casquino is a licensed clinical social worker, with a focus in clinical work and supervision. Over the last decade, she has worked primarily with individuals suffering from complex trauma, developmental trauma, PTSD, domestic violence, childhood sexual abuse, substance abuse, and homelessness.

She facilitates presentations about mental health topics to communities, schools, and agencies. Topics she has presented on include: The Impact of Domestic Violence of Children 0-5, The Impact of Domestic Violence on the BIPOC Community, Teen Suicide Prevention, and Mental Health Care for Trauma Providers.

She provides direct clinical supervision to associate mental health clinicians and graduate level students from USC, CSUN, CSUB, and UMass. Rosa has a master’s in social work from California State University, Northridge, and a bachelor’s in social sciences from Chapman University. She is trained in several modalities including EMDR, Structural Dissociation Theory, and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.
